Just finished reading this. It might be a slog (and at six hundred pages, it sometimes feels like it), but it should still be on your shelf. Even if you’re not a fan of Saturday Night Live, it still tells an engrossing quarter-century story of creative, self-destructive people who can’t live without each other. I knew that there were going to be stories of overdose and murder and awful scummy underhanded business dealings, and it still managed to be much darker than I was expecting.
But, y’know, it made me want to get back into television.
